The objectives of the Association are the preservation and improvement of the craftsmanship in hand weaving, spinning and dyeing for the benefit of the public and the promotion of public education in such craftsmanship.

Membership of the Association is open to any Guild who can show that it subscribes to the aims of the Association and is not a commercial or profit making body.

The Journal Library is now available for borrowers. Books in the library are those which have been reviewed in the Journal. Borrowers must be Guild members. Full details on how to borrow books, a catalogue and booking form are now available.

There is a Certificate of Achievement in spinning, weaving or dyeing for those members who wish to further their skills and knowledge in these areas. Assessors are drawn from those leading in these fields.

The Association produces a quarterly magazine The Journal.

Why not join your local guild and meet other enthusiastic members who practise these and allied crafts such as felt making and braid making.

The Association has established an Online Guild which 'meets' over the internet. Membership is available to anyone. An innovative programme of activities is available. For further details please visit the Online Guild website or email the webmaster

Health and safety contract forms are now available for students and speakers and workshop tutors.
