Regional Reps!

After 6 years of planning and organising we are very pleased to announce that all 10 Guild Regions now have their own Representative!

The Regional Mapping files and the allocation of Reps following the GPC meeting of 21st July 2018 are now listed on the WIP. The Reps, once they get the hang of their new email system, will be in touch with Guild Secretaries in their regions to introduce themselves.

Look our for their emails!

National Exhibition.

SCOTTISH UNIVERSITIES INSIGHT INSTITUTE
(formerly the Collins Gallery)
Collins Building • University of Strathclyde
22 Richmond Street • Glasgow G1 1XQ

16th – 29th July 2018 10am – 5pm
The University of Strathclyde has kindly offered the use
of the former Collins Gallery, which in the past was used
regularly for this type of exhibition. It is ideally located
only a few minutes walk from Queen Street Station and
the main bus and coach station and only a little further
from Central Station for trains from the south. There is
parking close by as well as hotels and cafes.
The exhibits cover the crafts of weaving, spinning
and dyeing and show the creativity and expertise of
individual Guild members from 110 Guilds across the
UK.
Members of the Guilds in Scotland and Northern Ireland
will be on hand to explain the work exhibited and to
demonstrate the various fibre processes of carding,
combing, spinning and weaving and the use of dye
plants and other dyeing materials.
