For those members who are unable to complete online the PDF version is available here: Survey_AGWSD_Development which can be printed and can then be returned either via Guild secretaries or by post to the AGWSD Secretary directly.

The findings of this survey will be used by the GPC to inform future planning. Please share the link with members. Thank you.

Regional Reps!

After 6 years of planning and organising we are very pleased to announce that all 10 Guild Regions now have their own Representative!

The Regional Mapping files and the allocation of Reps following the GPC meeting of 21st July 2018 are now listed on the WIP. The Reps, once they get the hang of their new email system, will be in touch with Guild Secretaries in their regions to introduce themselves.

National Exhibition Glasgow 16th – 29th July – Now OPEN!!

The Guilds of Scotland and Northern Ireland are
pleased to invite you to Glasgow for the 2018
National Exhibition.

(formerly the Collins Gallery)

16th – 29th July 2018 10am – 5pm
The University of Strathclyde has kindly offered the use
of the former Collins Gallery, which in the past was used
regularly for this type of exhibition. It is ideally located
only a few minutes walk from Queen Street Station and
the main bus and coach station and only a little further
from Central Station for trains from the south. There is
parking close by as well as hotels and cafes.
The exhibits cover the crafts of weaving, spinning
and dyeing and show the creativity and expertise of
individual Guild members from 110 Guilds across the
Members of the Guilds in Scotland and Northern Ireland
will be on hand to explain the work exhibited and to
demonstrate the various fibre processes of carding,
combing, spinning and weaving and the use of dye
plants and other dyeing materials.

Preservation of your privacy is important to the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers (AGWSD) and we are committed to letting you know how we use your personal information and to making only responsible use of your data.

References to “we”, “us”, “you” or “our” in this Privacy Policy are references to the AGWSD (a charity registered in England and Wales, registered charity number: 289590.)

1.1 The AGWSD Secretary will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us.

1.2 We will collect personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, register as a member with us or register for a workshop/course/conference with us. This may include your name, title, email address, physical address and telephone numbers.  We may also ask for some additional, non-personal information.

1.3 We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with on-going organisational updates and information in line with the aims of AGWSD. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need.

2.1   Your personal information will only be used to process your requests. All the personal data we process is processed by General Purposes Committee as needed. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data.
