Avon guild

The Avon Guild was originally called the Bristol Guild and was formed in the 1950s. It was resurrected in November 1975 and has met ever since.

The Avon Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers aim is to promote  and encourage those interested the arts of spinning, weaving and dyeing. We also explore other textile crafts, such as felt making and needle felting.

Members are of all standards, from beginners to professional teachers. The guild caters for everyone, with varied programmes of lectures, demonstrations and workshops. When funds permit guild members may be invited to visits to other exhibitions and events.

Public exhibitions are held from time to time for members to exhibit their work and demonstrate crafts and you can see us at the local Craft Fairs and Agricultural Shows, such as North Somerset.
