The Guild has been meeting online throughout 2021 and are very pleased to have restarted in-person meetings this autumn.
If you would like to join us then please get in touch.
Our guild was founded in 1973 and has been running on a continual basis ever since.
We are predominantly a group of spinners, but many of our guild do weave as well, and some are experienced dyers. We have a variety of meetings throughout the year, featuring workshops with external tutors, workshops run by our members, and open meetings when no formal tuition is organised.
We welcome new members, and will happily teach you to spin, if you will need to borrow a wheel please email us in advance. Tuition is only available when we have an open meeting, please check our programme for details. Hands-on tuition has been temporarily suspended due to covid, but we’re happy to give you hints and advice to get your started,
If you can already spin or weave you are more than welcome to come along to any meeting, we love having visitors. Spaces on a workshop may already be filled, but there are always some members who come along for the day just to spin or weave.
If you would like us to visit your show/event/community group to talk about our craft please get in touch.
