The purpose of the Oxford Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers is to bring together those interested in textiles and in textile making by providing a forum for meeting others who are interested in the subject and providing opportunities to widen their knowledge and skills as well as offering a chance to exhibit their work in public.
We meet monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month, except in August, at the Village Hall, Beckley, Oxfordshire where parking is easy and visitors are most welcome. Meetings are normally for a full day 10.00am – 4.00pm (bring a packed lunch), either enjoy a “Have-a-go” Day or listen to one of our Speaker’s Talks.
Our workshops are held, usually on Sundays, in Forest Hill Village Hall, Forest Hill, Oxford OX33 1EA.
Whether you’ve been spinning and weaving for years or it suddenly takes your fancy to learn we are always delighted to welcome new members. We all love working with fibres and textiles, and thoroughly enjoy sharing our interest – and learning something new.
