West Midlands New Year Letter

Dear All

Belated Happy New Year to you all.  January is always a long dull month but at least now signs of Spring are on the way.  I hope your Guilds are looking forward to another year of Weaving, Spinning and Dyeing.  Now that most Guilds have their own website it’s interesting to look at the various programmes and – dare I say it – get ideas! At Birmingham Guild we always welcome visitors especially to talks. (workshops are usually filled by members), so if there is anything that interests you or you just fancy a day out in Birmingham please do come along.

On the Association front, it was a little disappointing that not all Summer School applicants were successful this year due to the unprecedented demand.  More places will be available at the 2021 Summer School to be held in Norfolk.

The Association AGM  is on April 6th in London as it will be every year from now on.

Plans for the 2020 Conference Event are moving forward and if anyone wants to be involved in the planning please let me know. It’s to be held at Worcester University, June 19-21, 2020.

I look forward to meeting up with many of you sometime during the year

Best wishes
