Certificates<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Foundation Course in Spinning<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

The Association has established a Foundation Certificate course in Spinning\u00a0which is intended to enable those who are new to spinning and others who wish to get a better understanding of this craft to work towards a recognised standard.<\/p>

More Foundation Certificates are being developed so do keep an eye on the website for more information.<\/p>

Certificate of Achievement (CoA)<\/em><\/strong>
The CoA offers you the opportunity to follow a comprehensive syllabus in Spinning, Weaving, Tapestry Weaving, Natural Dyeing or Synthetic Dyeing. You can plan your studies to fit in with your other commitments and registration lasts for 5 years, (60 calendar months) from the date of registration. For the assessment you will submit a portfolio of samples and a project piece of your own design. For more information you can download the syllabus or syllabuses in which you are interested, together with the CoA Handbook, from the GIH<\/a>. For further information and\/or in order to register, please contact the CoA co-ordinator by email certificate@wsd.org.uk<\/a>.<\/p>

The CoA was developed in order to preserve and improve craftsmanship in our crafts and is open to any member of a Guild affiliated to the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.<\/p>

Certificate in Advanced Textile Studies (CATS)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>
