Llyn Guild Programme highlights for 2025
20 March As we all enjoyed Sasha’s first Tapestry Weaving workshop in 2024, we have invited her to take us further on the journey to discover more in tapestry weaving.
15 May Tania Oakshott will present a workshop entitled “Inclusions”. This promises to be a fun workshop taking some of us out of our comfort zone, and into the wonderful world of Art Yarns.
Saturday 7 June Will be our first Friendship Day in some years.
We extend a very warm welcome to members of other guilds, visitors from the local community, and to those who may be holidaying in this lovely part of North Wales on the day. There will be a variety of Suppliers, and we all know how much we want to see the latest on offer and take home a special find. Tea/coffee, cake, light lunch, available from 10:45am until 2:30pm. There will also be displays of spinning, weaving and an area for visitors to try their hand at these crafts.
Again, this August (date to be confirmed) we can be seen at Caernarfon Castle Spinning in Public, and joining with the Archery Garrison team for an entertaining day. It will be great to see you there, and give you an experience of spinning or weaving for yourself.
18 September We have booked ClassBento to demonstrate and hold a workshop using Polymer Clay.
An insight into the realm of buttons and beads to use with your own wool, alpaca and/or linen craft creations, either as closures for cardigans, cowls or just pure bling!
September (date to be confirmed) We’ll again be celebrating Owain Glyndwr Day in Caernarfon Town Centre – a great chance to be seen, answer questions and spin in public.
16 October Petra Crossman-Emms, will be holding a workshop to create an Autumn Wreath; just in time to brighten up the darker winter months, or even make a Christmas decoration.
