Certificate of Achievement (CoA)

The CoA offers you the opportunity to follow a comprehensive syllabus in Spinning, Weaving, Tapestry Weaving, Natural Dyeing or Synthetic Dyeing. You can plan your studies to fit in with your other commitments and take as long as you need. For the assessment you will submit a portfolio of samples and a project piece of your own design. For more information you can download the syllabus or syllabuses in which you are interested, together with the CoA Handbook, from this page. For further information and/or in order to register, please contact the CoA co-ordinator. The CoA was developed in order to preserve and improve craftsmanship in our crafts and is open to any member of a Guild affiliated to the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.

Certificate in Advanced Textile Studies

Having gained your CoA, you may wish to undertake the challenge of the Certificate in Advanced Textile Studies. You are required to carry out an in-depth study within your chosen discipline, planning, researching and executing a project, with the emphasis on design and originality. For more information and/or registration, please contact the CoA Co-ordinator certificate@wsd.org.uk.
